Wear it Pink! Products I've Used Up

Happy Breast Cancer Awareness Month friends!! :)

In light of October being breast cancer awareness month, I thought it would be fun to show some of my favourite pink products that I've used up over the past few weeks!

V05 Plump it up dry shampoo
Not only does it smell like spring and flowers in a bowl, but it is also one of the more long-lasting dry shampoos I've come across.  Because its V05, its slightly more pricey than regular dry shampoos, but it smells incredibly and doesn't leave your hair dry and stringy after prolonged use like some other dry shampoos.  I'm honestly no connoisseur of dry shampoos- I've only recently started to use them but I've found them incredibly useful for when I'm going to be out for long periods of time and exposing my hair to a lot of dirt and oils.  Also, its packaging is pink and smells it smells like pink :D

Dove Plum & Sakura Bodywash
Aside from this being the most silky and nourishing bodywashes I've used in a long time, the fact that it smells like spring and sakura flowers in a bottle definitely makes my evenings better. It also leaves a long-lasting smell, so if for instance, you're using it in the evening, you still smell fresh in the morning.  I've used it in the morning and gone out for a whole day and can still catch the smell lingering on me.

Victoria's Secret Bombshell Body Lotion
This stuff smells like heaven and angels but also slightly edgy.  If seduction is associated with heavy scents and the colour black, this scent is a mixture of pink and black scents together... I essentially feel like this is the walking scent of Victoria's Secret.  It also comes with the cutest pink packaging and is very strong and long-lasting.  The only thing I'd say about this is that the formula is quite light and so its not particularly moisturising, especially if your skin gets dry quite easily like mine or if you live in a drier area or during the winter months.  Its a bit of a struggle because it smells quite heavy, so you feel a bit reluctant to pile it on eventhough it might not be moisturising your skin quite enough.

Stay tuned for more breast cancer awareness and pink until the end of this month!

Also..... check out Tina Craig (@bagsnob on Instagram)'s pink challenge! She's doing a pink bag a day to raise awareness for this October. She's also very fab and extremely chic.  There's still time to get involved and raise awareness, it's not November yet!!

August Favourites: Makeup! (Part 2)

Part II of August Favourites is going to be about my fave foundation and eyeshadow!!

Estée Lauder Long Lasting Makeup Foundation

I have recently been able to branch out of my no-foundation phase and have started using foundations, whether it be loose powder, BB Cream type things, or liquid foundations.  This is super useful because during some mornings I put on loose powder if I'm having a bad skin day, and I can pop this in my handbag and carry it around for touch-ups during the day.  The only somewhat negative thing I'd say about this is that despite the fact that I'm in love with the size, the sponge is really small ): It's a bit hard to get good coverage for all over my face, but since normally I just need to touch-up certain areas (normally my tzone), its good enough for most days.

Victoria's Secret Beauty Rush Too Too Pink
I'm going to do a swab of this eventually because I love the shimmer over the pink in this eyeshadow.  It's also super long-lasting, so that means you can wear it for most of the day without it leaking all over your eyes.  Also the eyeshadow says its "luminous" and it lives up to its name! Its shimmery and bright and pretty and has a really nice pink hue that matches with basically everything.  It can do basically anthing you want- if you just want eyeshadow for a day look, it looks cute and girly, but if you want to add shimmer and shine to another kind of look, you could lightly line your top lid with the shimmer and the pink will bring out your eyes and make 'em pop! (:

What are some of your favourites? Let me know <3

Fashion Friday: Top Picks of the Week

Friday is the best time for the top picks of the week! This week I'm going to focus on jewellery-- particularly 2 pieces of jewellery that I've been LOVING these past few weeks.  I'm not a very jewellery/accessory orientated person, mainly because I'm quite small in size and a lot of the jewellery that I'd wear would just make me look like I'm drowning in objects.  I've only ever stuck to basic stuff, like pearls, single pendant necklaces... basically very basic looking necklaces.  Its been very difficult to find necklaces that add to an outfit yet don't make me look like their weighing me down (literally and figuratively).

You'll notice that both these accessories are: 1. necklaces 2. from Forever 21.  I'm not entirely sure why that is... I have been spending a lot more time in Forever 21 this summer and I've also been on the hunt for very popping colours that can either add more brightness to outfits or that can make a look more polished.  I've also been looking for necklaces that I can keep throughout summer and even into the winter months, because I'd love to start accessorising more often despite the fact that its so hard to find jewellery that fits.
Reasons why I love this:
1. Black = versatile.  Wearable in the day with a casual outfit and at night when you're going for a more polished colour.  Its also great for in the wintertime because it matches the darker tone of winter clothes.  2.  I am also quite impressed by the weird quadrilateral shape because I feel like it could either add more geometrical-ish edge to a more mundane outfit or a formal/night out look to a more casual combination.

Reasons why I love this (excuse the massive atrocity that is a scratch on my cabinet):
1. Pink is my #1 favourite colour ever 2. It can add a pop of colour to a minimalistic top and bottom, it can accessorise well with beach/bikini wear/its a summery colour
* Also, I realise that the colour that it looks like in this photo is quite misleading, as its not actually such a bright pink and looks slightly duller and pastel-y in real life.  Unfortunately I used my iPhone camera for this because I'm on holiday, so you don't get the actual colour scheme.  I've already used this in one of my outfit of the days, so I'll link the description here so you can click on that or go on my instagram to have a better look at what the colour actually is.

What are some of YOUR summer favourites? Let me know!  Also look forward to July Fashion Favourites that I'm currently working on now (:
